What`s your choice ==Eating with Hands or using Cutlery?
How many of you do agree that you really enjoy the taste of food when you are eating it with your own hands?
The natural instinct when a child starts eating he will use his hands. Have you ever noticed the joy on the child`s face ?
Do you know that the tip of our fingers have those points which transmits energy?
While writing this line one more universal truth strikes me === that is the gurus who are enlightened will never allow you to touch their feet. WHY?
IT is because the energy attained after a long penance by them will pass from their body to yours from the finger tips. AT the same time we say touch the feet of our elders == this is because we will get some energy from them and when you bow down to touch their feet they will automatically bless you from the bottom of their heart .
DO you know our fingers represent the five elements ==== Earth , Water , Fire , Space and air. ‘
Eating with hands has it`s own benefits.=====
Improves digestion == When you mix the food with your hands for putting it in your mouth the stomach gets the information and it starts preparing itself to welcome food and gets ready to digest it .
Provides mindfulness === The Aroma of the food triggers your sensory organs and taste buds and gets ready to taste the food .You get satisfied and the processes of eating becomes more pleasent.
Engages all your senses===aroma==nostrils
Mixing food with hands=====the texture of food
Aroma===brings saliva in mouth where the first digestion starts

Provides healthy bacteria === We are surrounded by bacteria all the time , every where and always. That`s one of the reasons in HINDU culture why before eating or before going to bed they wash hands legs and face and feet . The good bacteria keep lingering on our hands which boosts our digestion when they enter the system through the food we eat .WE are Always conscious of cleanliness of our hands.
Burning of tongue ==== When the food is served and we mix it with hands or tear a piece of chapatti and try to eat it with vegetable then by touching it we come to know it`s temperature. We can protect our tongue from burning . This is not possible when we use spoon.
Texture of food === By feeling it we come to know about the texture of food.
Exercises === IT exercises our bones muscles and joints as well.
The nerve endings on our finger tips are known to stimulate digestion == by signalling the stomach to get ready to receive food as well as signalling to brain to the time allotted for eating
SPEED === The speed of eating decreases as such there are very little chances of overeating . IF you eat the food in haste then there are chances of developing == type -2- diabetes .
You can`t eat Dal and roti or chapatti with a fork or knife. YES and the chicken too if it`s not boneless, then you have to use your hands.
IN a nut shell===
Researchers conclude that eating by hand promotes a sense of fullness.
YOU can really enjoy the taste , texture , and aroma of food when eating with hands.
IT also helps to manage the food portions.
IT is more hygienic to eat with hands as you wash your hands many times a day and especially when you sit to eat but the utensils or cutlery is washed only once or twice a day.
Exercise of fingers , joints and muscles take place.
What ever happens our hands will be clean.
YES IF YOU REALLY WANT TO RELISH YOUR FOOD TRY EATING IT WITH YOUR HANDS.
